Abstract

At present, the generally recognized basis for the further development of telecommunications networks general use is the concept of next generation communication networks - NGN (Next Generation Network), implemented on the basis of various technical solutions such as Softswitch and IMS (Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem). The following article is devoted to the analysis of the reliability of nextgeneration NGN/IMS networks. Methods for constructing networks based on NGN/IMS technologies are considered. The advantages they can offer over previous generations are also discussed throughout the article.
